I didn't bother to record the ones that were for the TTC and did their share of sucking up to the representatives on stage. After awhile, I could tell within 30 seconds whether it was going to be a citizen or a politician (not counting people running for office) by either "The roads are getting congested in Dallas"-yeah. I don't think there's one person that isn't for PUBLIC highways to ease congestion, including, for example, adding a truck lane I-35 and mass transit. But, 1 to Talking Points, the proponents of the TTC are framing this as argument as "If you're not for TTC, you must be FOR congestion". Uh... no. I'm not for foreign owned boondoggles that won't be done UNTIL AFTER I'M DEAD.
But I digress. Here are some videos from the Fort Worth comments section that I DID like, in order, so far as I remember, in order of when they spoke, not as to whether they were my faves. (If you link, please link with the permalink and not directly to the streaming videos)
Carole Keeton Strayhorn. Say what you like about her, she was very clear and emphatic about this issue, and frankly, I would like to hear EVERY person running for office speak up with the same position, with the SAME amount of enthusiasm. (And vote out EVERY Republican and Democrat that voted for this atrocity)
Nile Fischer, speaking for Lon Burnam.
Hank Gilbert, running for AG Commish.
Citizen of Cooke County commenting about her ancestor's grave
David Harris, running against Smokey Joe Barton
I'll be updating this post tomorrow with a couple more I liked (including Van Os), it's almost midnight here. I also attended the Hood County (Granbury) meeting tonight and recorded the comments, will put them up in the next couple of days.
