Interesting that "OUR" county judge (that's supposed to represent A L L of us, made an announcement that he is working with and "FOR" the hospital district. That is a DEFINITE conflict of interest---he is an elected official (which he chose) and should NOT be using his position as judge to try and sway votes (for or against) the hospital district and for telling us HOW to vote!  If he should chose to do this, his office is merely feet from where we vote. I believe that is against the law!  Please correct me if I am wrong!!!!!!!

I don't know if it's against the law but it definitely seems off-kilter. Having definite conflict of interests has not stopped Ford before, however. You did hear, I'm sure that he said there was enough reserves to take back the hospital for a year. For that second year, perhaps the commissioners would be eager to actually pursue other options that would benefit taxpayers.

The hospital authority that was appointed by the county commissioners was given a directive to solicite an outside agency to run the hospital (for the benefit of US taxpayers). The hospital authority REFUSED to pursue this directive. Now this same board (that is NOW the hospital district) is pursuing this!  How strange!  Our commissioners recognized that an outside agency was needed, now the hospital district knows an outside agency is necessary!

To cut cost to US TAXPAYERS, the hospital district needs to be dissolved and the county contract with outside agency to run OUR hospital. (cut out the middleman making money).

The middleman I spoke of is the hospital district.
