More on this later but thought this is odd. We got a tax bill in the mail on Saturday, which means it had to be sent out on Friday. Was it printed and sent before even the recount? And, since, at least not to my knowledge, the newly formed Hospital District hasn't even met yet, where did that figure for tax come from? One would presume that the commissioners would have to formally vote that the election results were good (as they probably did this morning) and then the District would have to post a meeting notice in which they discussed and voted upon the tax figure they would charge people with.
