Ah. Remember the first days of this adventure when some people decided to push a hospital district AGAIN? The group that first met, which was called a "Steering Committee" even though it had over 50 people in it (imagine steering THAT car) was told this was going to be a big PR push. "Invite people to your home for an intimate party while you push the district at them". "Write lots of positive letters to the editor at the newspapers".. and from the attorney, "See if you can get an election date where the turnout will be low".(I haven't looked but wonder how many of these letters to the editor are people who also signed the petition FOR a district. I know some of them are members of the *appointed* hospital advisory board, and hilariously, at least one person was from Pecan Plantation, the cash cow of HOOD County-of COURSE she likes the services, her tax money isn't going for them)
