Rick Perry said he would do away with the United States Department of Education, many other Republicans have agreed that this entity is no longer needed. I decided to find out if Glen Rose ISD was using any of these funds and how they would be impacted. I sent a request to Glen Rose ISD back on June 4th, 2012:
