No one should be surprised that, in low services state Texas, Rick Perry puts no premium on public education. He has repeatedly cut the budget, turned down federal money that had strings attached that the education money be spent on, er, EDUCATION, and has kicked fixing education till the next Texas lege session so that he can run for president (priorities, priorities!)
