Seems that Glen Rose ISD Isn't Going to Be Sending Home Good News Club Flyers

I heard informally tonight that there was a parents meeting at the Glen Rose Elementary school tonight and one of the discussed items was that, rather than send home flyers for sports, boy scouts, and Good News Club with children, these items will be posted on a community bulletin board or available on a counter. I fhink that's interesting. I presume since this is a change that Good News Club flyers were sent home with students in the past. Did a parent complain about it? Or was it simply a good move on the part of GRISD administration to stop establishing religion in a public school?
