Assuming what I am reading in the paper is accurate (Page 11 of the Glen Rose Reporter 8/17/11 edition), because Somervell County Judge Mike Ford is not posting it online until Monday (why?) I cannot verify this data, the proposed budget from Somervell County Judge Mike Ford CUTS funding for the Fire Department from $426,755 to $292,760, that is 31% LESS!!! Where is the money going? Looks to me like it is going to the Hospital Authority, where folks voted against funding it in 2009 but for some reason Somervell County Judge Mike Ford and the County Commissioners think it is ok to spend our tax money on something that we voted against funding!
