Back a few years ago hub and I went to 7 different TTC (Trans Texas Corridor) public hearings held in the DFW area and recorded all of them. Recently, I heard Rick Perry telling a group of Republicans that he is all for protecting private property rights. Maybe he can sell that swill outside of Texas, but people here KNOW what he stands for and protecting private property is NOT one of his designs. Public opposition to his taking land from a 10 football field swath of land, mainly farmers, met so much opposition that Perry and the TTC were forced to use subterfuge to pretend to drop the TTC. It still lives on through segmented toll roads. But even if it wasn't, the point is that Rick Perry was all for this, and pushing it. What's even more amazing is that the Texas Republican party put opposition to TTC into their platform, but Perry ignored it.
