March 19, 2005 Second Anniversary of Iraq War Protests in Our Area

On March 19, in the United States and around the world, massive protests were held to protest the United States' involvement in Iraq. We know and have known that the justification for being in Iraq, Weapons of Mass Destruction was a lie. (If you don't know this to be 1, watch "Hijacking Catastrophe") The current spin on bringing "democracy" to Iraq ignores the fact that was never the rationale presented to the public for pre-emptively striking another country that was not threatening us, nor had any connection to our own 911 tragedy. And even if we eventually leave the country of which we are still occupiers, we are bulding military bases to ensure we have a presence for years to come (and a way to pre-emptively strike other countries).

Quite a few of us from this area, in Chet Edward's district, participated in the protests, some going to Fort Worth, and some to Austin.
