Imagine for a moment that all those who truly care about being involved and knowledgeable about their local govenrment activities decided to take a small part of their energy to collect and share a piece with all. For example, enadaze on this site posts the jail logs every week. I post meeting notices, audio, and checkbook registers. Some other readers are also on the list that get meeting notices and could easily post them.  In some of the cases, the information is posted directly on the government site, by those entities that follow the law, so all that is needed is a link to that site where the information is. Suppose that you have an interest, because you have children in school, in GRISD information, including the meetings, the check book registers, the information that is posted that is supplemental, etc. Or you are interested in what the water district is doing, including the Wheeler Branch reservoir, or how that money is being spent, etc. I KNOW we have a lot of readers who read this site because they like to be able to find out in depth, and accurately, what's going on at various levels of local government. I'm suggesting that the site can only be enriched by the people who have even a small amount of time or energy to share what they know here. And when I say, what they know, I MEAN, what they know, not idle speculation, unless it's identified as such, with documents and sources.
