At what public meeting with what vote did the city ask the Chamber to take over scheduling for Beck Field?
conflict of interest aside, is it even legal for 4b to use funds for an events coordinator?
Events coordinator would get paid bonuses, which raises questions of parity and fairness.
Events coordinator would report to the Chamber which raises the same questions, particularly when there are bonuses involved.
What would be the procedure for non-Chamber events? And what would take precedence? Fees?

Apparently Best was testing the waters at the budget meeting in July 2010 to see whether he could grease the skids, so to speak. Reason is that the process for 4b is that 4b approves, then the city, THEN THERE MUST BE A PUBLIC HEARING and then the city finally votes. Since it isn't like the money was actually allocated at that point, nor could it be until after the public hearing, one guesses he wanted to find out which way the wind would blow if he brought this up as a project later, AFTER it had been through proper procedures.
