As readers know, Somervell County Salon has been recording, in video and audio, governmental meetings for years. Where we are not at meetings, we either have gone to make copies of government-recorded audio or point to the websites where the audio is posted by those governmental entities. However, what we record, because we do it on our own and are not paid by any entity, is copyrighted and owned by us. We choose to make it available on the website, in the form of audio and video clips, and do so because we believe in open government. We do think in cases where something would ONLY be known because of our video that we should be credited.
