Went out there today, got a park pass, and pulled out the bikes. The day was near perfect; sunny, a little cool, leaves on trees changing color. We did look to see if we saw the dino tracks in the paluxy but there was too much water. Didn't matter, we rode around on the great roads, where the speed limit was between 15 and 20 mph. Plus, during the week, it's not crowded. I have to admit, I've been wrestling with where to ride for a long time. I see people riding down hwy 67 and it just gives me chills. The only other way I could possibly get around is on hwy 144, which is equally scary. I'm happy for people for whom it is simply one more pleasant way to get to town. And I think once I get more acclimated to the bicycle, I'd like to do more riding up CR 2009 to the Overlook. But for now, the park is just the perfect answer. I'm going to take a route mapper with me next time to see if I can get a good 3-5 mile route.
