Readers know I was more than disgusted about a week or so ago and vowed to stay away from recording meetings. IN particular, I had been going to city meetings and the way they operate completely drained me. I went to the GRISD school board meeting the other night instead and it was not only interesting but refreshing. That said, I really do want to be there with the camera when the committee makes its recommendations to city council about the Oakdale Park Manager position, for obvious reasons. If there is a scenario where the committee makes a recommendation for someone other than ex-Mayor Pam Miller and the council overrides them, I'm hoping to see an outraged committee that will hold council's feet to the fire.
