seconded by Pam Miller. In case you haven't been following this, here's the background. The CVB (Conventions and Visitor's Bureaus) made an RFP to host a rodeo in 2011 and 2012. The deal was so good to the rodeo that they said, you can have it also in 2010 but we need to have 100 RV spaces on site at the Expo Center grounds. Because both the county and city are very cognizant of not wanting to compete with local RV park owners, it has been an ongoing conversation. There's also another piece to that, in that, although the Expo Center is county owned, Somervell County did not budget for the money to build out RV spaces for 2010; therefore, Mike Dooley came to the 4b committee and asked them to fund him. The 4b committee voted on a recommendation the other night to give (him? the county? who?) an interim loan to do the RV spaces. Now, on Monday upcoming, the City Council has to vote on whether to approve the 4b's recommendation.
