I was amused while reading this article in the Cleburne Times Review about the Republican dog and pony for candidates that was held the other night. Looks like Republicans are really concentrating on Johnson County to try to kick Chet Edwards out. Anyway, Despite frigid weather, a large group showed up at the Johnson County Courthouse to hear candidates speak and to ask them questions.
Nothing wrong with that... but. Candidates in numerous elections received a chance to speak to voters and field audience questions. The five Republican candidates competing in the U.S. Congressional District 17 race took no questions from the audience, but did answer preprepared questions.
Yuppers... We'll Take Audience Questions As Long As You Tell Us First and We Don't Have To Think On Our Feet.
