I haven't yet posted the video and audio from Joelle Ogletree's grievance hearing from the other night, where she was again, for I think the 5th time, turned down from being an official volunteer at GRISD. I have thought about the whole justice system for awhile, though, and thought it would be useful to see how, ideally, our system treats those who may have been under a cloud at some point but are cleared. Guess what. They are PRESUMED INNOCENT.

Incidentally, that includes everyone. Even, for example, that guy Michael Sneed who was indicted for sexual assault with a minor. He has not yet been to court or at least gotten to some place where his case has been adjudicated. An indictment is NOT guilt. Otherwise, why in the world should we ever bother to even attempt to have court trials, if anytime somebody spread rumours, or pointed fingers, it was taken as gospel.
Definitely, though, once someone has been THROUGH the system after an indictment, and CLEARED, she should be treated that way. And GRISD is not.
