First posted about this here- My question then, as it is now, is who is in charge of answering questions from the public concerning the appointed county board, the hospital authority. I believe that I should be sending requests, in writing, to the governmental entity that is in charge, NOT directly to the contracted company (i,e the Glen Rose medical center employees, which are not part of the authority but are in a lease agreement with the county, possibly still for a dollar a year). I believe that it lessens confusion about whether records are being fufilled, keeps the governmental entity in the loop, even if they opt to have some other entity actually get the records,
This isn't simply my belief that I'm pulling from a hat. Here's a short list from the Texas Attorney General's website.
