I've been listening to the Special Session/Retreat for the City of Glen Rose that was held this last Saturday. I thought I would make a video clip of Margaret Drake talking about the Riverwalk but the whole discussion was so interesting a clip won't do it. Go listen to the audio on Part 1 starting at about 8:20. I remember thinking about the Riverwalk when it was first discussed and never thought it would be something, for example, to rival San Antonio's Riverwalk. I did think of it as being more of a nature trail along the river's edge, and anyone that wanted to go LOOK at the river walk could either do it at the parts where it came in close to the River or down by Big Rocks. Listening to this discussion makes me realize how there really are two disparate ideas about what the Riverwalk will be and how it will turn out.
