I think it's interesting that they have not yet been able to ascertain IF the students who were affected are just sick with something else or have swine flu but the problem was that if they kept the school open while finding out, they students wouldn't have been able to retake the TAKS test. That's a bit rigid, eh?

"If we kept schools open, many of these students would not be able to retest and they would have failed because of it," he said. "The district would not have meet (federal standards) because of so many absences we were seeing. It couldn't have happened at a worse time."
