Wendell Mitchell of the City of Glen Rose was placed on probation. What was interesting to me is that the reporter from the Glen Rose Reporter asked, through open record, for copies of the complaints against him and there were no written complaints, only verbal ones. I myself heard a hearsay complaint that involved looking through car trunks of people at Big Rocks without a probable cause warrant; don't know if that is 1 but if the people who complained didn't make written complaints as part of Mitchell's file, it's interesting that he would nonetheless be put on probation for 3 months.

In public notices, the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems is going to come to Glen Rose to a visit of Air Evac EMS on May 12-13. The reason, apparenlty, for the public notice is so that anyone from the public who wants to say something to the evaluators can arrange to do so. They have to request a public information interview in writing at Office of the Executive Director, Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems, P.O. Box 1305, Anderson, SC  29622. (My comment- gee, how nice to let Air Evac KNOW that they are coming to check up on them. And one wonders why it isn't a little easier, say, through email, to let people contact this commission to arrange interviews.
