Sometimes you'll be watching a movie and the camera will linger over something that not only doesn't make any difference to the plot, sometimes it's egregiously out of place! I know that advertisers probably really hate devices like Tivo that let you skip past their commercials, but at what point does the person making the shows risk completely alienating the consumer by bypassing the story in favor of a blatant product placment ad?
