BLOG WRITING RULES
|
Somervell County Salon is a populist, democracy loving blog. We like the idea of having other writers and diversity in viewpoints; think of this as your neighborhood gathering. That said, here are some basic rules to keep in mind. We like writers who are from Somervell County and want to write on local events or issues. You don't necessarily have to live in Somervell County, but you do have to be concerned about the same kind of issues that would affect Somervell County. If you just want to post about subjects without knowing Somervell County or this area at all, you'd do better to post elsewhere. If you have a question about what is okay to write about or you want to send it via email, send to TALK @ GLENROSE.NET All initial posts are moderated, meaning that when you click "Save", you won't immediately see your post until after it's approved for public viewing. After you are a known writer, your writing will automatically be posted to the blog without requiring moderation first. Topics to write about: What's going on in your life, in town or county life, with local politics or events, etc. Want to talk about a political topic? Please discuss the idea behind it, with sources and reasons why you believe that idea. Topics to NOT write about: You can't sell products or advertise via a blog entry (we consider that spam), can't post diatribes that use personal attacks, foul language or unnecessary vulgarity. We reserve the right to not post, or remove any content that is inappropriate according to our lights. Consider this like your neighborhood, where you want to discuss and share topics of interest, in a manner that can represent your strong feelings but still be respectful of others who may be reading.
