Here's link to the last list we did a few weeks ago. and read more below.
HB 529-Relating to the operation of a motor vehicle equipped with a blue light. (saying explicitly that only authorized emergency vehicles can have a blue light)
HB 567 Relating to the eligibility of a candidate for a party office to serve as an election judge (This bill essentially would include candidates for party office as well as public election and prevent them from being also election judges unless they'd already been declared elected under another section).
HB 568 Relating to the slaughter and processing of livestock for use by certain child-care facilities (Hmmm. What got added is that if a child care facility owns, raises or participates in the raising of livestock, it can bypass inspection of the slaughter and preparation of carcasses, etc. I think this is a BAD bill, because it isn't just somebody doing it for their own personal family but for a business that would take care of children.)
HB 569 Relating to notice of an application for a permit to dispose of oil and gas waste in a commercial disposal well; creating an offense (This is a GREAT bill-it adds additional parties to be notified when a commercial waste disposal application is in process, to include not only, for example, the commissioner's court in the area but also the owner of record has to tell the people who lease from him or her).
HB 778 Relating to the prosecution by the attorney general of campaign finance offenses alleged to have been committed in connection with a state office or an election on a constitutional amendment. (on the surface of this bill, I like it, EXCEPT that there's a section that says that information disclosed under that section if someone is being investigated is confidential and not subject to disclosure. Well, why the heck not?)
HB 813 Relating to eligibility for the small and mid-sized adjustment under the public school finance system. (Not actually sure just what this is about, has to do with the lege not being able to increase the amount of state and local funds to which a school district is entitled.)
HB 833 Relating to the dissolution of the Tablerock Groundwater Conservation Distri
HB 834 Relating to reporting ownership of mineral interests severed from the surface estate and the vesting of title by judicial proceeding to certain abandoned mineral interests. (Another one I don't quite get because it is trying to keep a mineral interest owned by a government entity from having to do vesting of title -why?
HB 835 Relating to requiring a candidate for public office to provide proof of citizenship (because, heh, there just must be so many dang people who aren't citizens trying to get into office!)
HB 836 Relating to sport hunting of feral hogs by helicopter-already wrote about this here- and here.
HB 1031 Relating to maintenance of roads on the property of a perpetual care cemetery -a corporation that has a perpetual care cemetery must put maintenance of the roads in the contract., etc.
HJR46 Proposing a constitutional amendment to permit the attorney general to prosecute certain offenses arising under the campaign finance laws of this state. (Related to that other one-now why would the AG be able to go into lower and state courts to represent case involving campaign finance laws? Who represents someone who has misused campaign finance laws NOW?
