I’m probably 20 percent atheist and 80 percent agnostic. I don’t think anyone really knows. You’ll either find out or not when you get there, until then there’s no point thinking about it.-Brad Pitt - (Added by: salon)
One question Waldman asked Warren was why he talked to Obama about his abortion position but not President Bush about his position on torture, which Warren said he is “totally against.”
“Never got the chance. I just didn’t,” Warren responded.
That's crap. The man opens his mouth about everything else he thinks is important, including, as that article I linked to says, trying to compare abortion to the holocaust. Bush is known to have approved torture and even gutted the geneva conventions in order to try to justify his administration's secret actions. Everyone knew this and recently that Senate Armed Services report has spelled it out. IF Warren really was against torture, he would have said so.
Obama is not getting a good start to being a different kind of government. It's one thing to try to include others who don't share your same view. It's quite another to pander to religious extremists.
