All elected officials except the Judge and four of the commisioners get a $50.00 raise per month.

The Highway 144 bridge over Squaw Creek will begin to be widened later this year. The County contributed $605.00 to TXDOT to share right-of-way costs.

The bridge over the Brazos River east of town on Hwy 67 will be renovated starting later this month, plus there will be a new bridge constructed. Project expected to be done in 2008.

Somervell County applied for a US Dept of Justice "Secure Our Schools" grant, to be used for technology upgrades, if granted.

Darrell Morrison is County Auditor still for next two years. Jody Butler was reappointed to the board of directors for North Texas Workforce Commission for another 2 years.

Squaw Valley Golf Course is planning to purchase a new fairway mower, and 3 bids were received by the Court.

Public meeting on July 11th at 9:00 am to discuss closing and abandoining CR 1002 and 1003 in Precinct 1.

We were unable to video record the meeting due to a scheduling conflict.
