Part of the Pulpit Freedom Sunday agenda which seeks to have the minister investigated by the IRS in order to create a lawsuit challenging the rights of religion to be poltiical. Or, said another way, these *Christians* want to be Just Another Political Party

Members of the congregation at Warroad (Minn.) Community Church listened intently Sunday morning as Rev. Gus Booth told them they not only should vote for John McCain in November, but they also should campaign for him.

Booth is one of several clergy across the country to endorse a candidate from behind the pulpit on what was declared “Pulpit Freedom Sunday” by the Alliance Defense Fund.

“We need to vote for the most righteous of candidates,” Booth said Sunday. “And it doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure that out. The most righteous is John McCain.”

Update-6 pastor who have done this have been reported to the IRS.

WASHINGTON — A church-state separation group filed complaints Monday with the Internal Revenue Service against six churches whose pastors either endorsed or made pointed comments about political candidates from their pulpits Sunday in defiance of federal tax law.

The Alliance Defense Fund, an Arizona-based conservative legal group, orchestrated the pulpit protest to invite IRS scrutiny and a legal fight it hopes will lead to the restrictions being found unconstitutional. The group released a list Monday of 33 participating pastors and pledged to defend them.

The Washington-based Americans United for Separation of Church and State filed complaints about six pastors whose sermons were detailed in media reports.

Five of the six supported Republican presidential candidate John McCain. The sixth, Wiley Drake of First Southern Baptist Church in Buena Park, Calif., said: "According to my Bible and in my opinion, there is no way in the world a Christian can vote for Barack Hussein Obama."

What did I say? The Christianists are Just Another Political Party, want to be treated that way, but oopsie, still want to be able to get tax breaks. Nope.
