Public comment: Helen Kerwin who has property on the Paluxy River, comments on what affects her re: River Walk. Taking out all her trees would change dynamic of current of river, and second, with trees gone, public would have access to property and her business. Water district offered to build a fence but they have no barrier currently. Built berm with rocks so that erosion wouldn't take away the fence (if something happened like with last June). What kind of boundary? Several incidents where Weldon had to be called on some issues re: people on the Paluxy (such as over Memorial Day). What would happen for Kerwin to grant easement..... People, for example, took down the chain link fence and no trespassing sign. Grills coming across the dam to cook, bringing into her woods and leaving their trash. Insurance -city cannot indemnify her-if something should happen, drowing or death, might come after her as the property owner. 2nd- if easement granted, would like to do it for 3-5 years at the most. Doesn't want to give away her land specifically to river frontage and tie it for up for next 15 years. Hard to think of property being marketable if she has a 20 year easement attached to the property.

Resolution-2nd reading for the public. authorizing 4b to proceed, 10, 000 dollars. June 3, 2008 -Riverwalk project-have 60 days for the public to call for a vote on how the money would be spent. Resolved that city would pay for an engineering study. for Riverwalk.  (about 11 minutes in).

$13,500 for engineering study to be reimbursed from 4b corporation.

Margaret Drake asks for approval of contact with engineering company.

Transfer $400,000 from fund. Who goes on the steering committee? All business people, some lived in City limits and some not? Tabled till next month.

Contract with National Aquatic Safety Council (about 20 minutes in ) Aquatic Safety program. Tabled.

Applications for a park grant. River walk and hotel project started 1 1/2 years ago. Motion passed.

Don't know what land they would be able to use with the River Walk. Would the lack of Kerwin's property stop the River Walk? probably not.  The River Walk was for Oakdale.

Approve  budget for next year. Budget based on amount of taxes.

Update on progress of flood control in stadium addition.

? on next item (at about 28 in). 2 way stop. Vista Ridge. Where Valley View intersects with Vista Ridge, put in stop signs.

City Superintendent be able to install traffic control devices at his or her discretion. Last 5 buildings that Granbury built looked to be rock-looks so much better than stucco or concrete with no rock accent.

Price of materials for new commercial buliding. What percentage of rock? Suggestion 60 percent, all sides, less windows and doors. Boilerplate.Tabled till next meeting.

Seminar on planning and zoning.

Move parking to police department. Make Weldon the Chief of Police and supervisor of animal control department. Tabled, executive session.
