Get to Know Dale Henry-In Runoff for Texas Railroad Commissioner

I have a couple of clips I have edited from meeting involving commercial waste injection wells in Somervell and Bosque Counties. Dale Henry absolutely knows what he is talking about, and will protect our water. Some people think that the Texas Railroad Commission is about choo-choo trains. No, it's about oil and gas interests that continually seek to exploit landowners in favor of corporations.

The first one here is from an injection well meeting that was held in Kopperl, Bosque County, Texas. A company had planned to put in an injection well and the towns people didn't want it. What is that? Where companies, after *fraccing* a gas well, that is, breaking up the shale, need somewhere to put the waste from it somewhere-so they inject it into the ground, sometimes even near a viable water source. One meeting that I went to in Hico had a lot of townies upset that an injection well was being built near the Bosque River. I've since heard that well has been stopped. (Please bear in mind that this is only a short piece of the entire session, which was quite detailed, and involved charts showing exactly the makeup of injection wells.)

Here's a second short clip from a meeting held in Somervell County, again showing a little of Dale Henry's detailed explanation of injection wells.

You might think this is a little dry but I want you to consider that not only does Dale Henry absolutely know what hey's talking about but he wants to protect our water. That's reason enough right there to vote for him in the runoff.
