WSJ/NBC Poll Says Voters Prefer Democrats But Have Reservations About Clinton

from Political Wire

By a 50% to 35% margin, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll show Americans prefer that a Democrat gets elected to succeed President Bush next November. However, in a direct matchup of leading candidates, that margin shrinks to 46% for Clinton and 45% for Giuliani.

"Americans have turned sharply away from President Bush and toward domestic issues favoring his partisan adversaries. But offsetting that demand for change in the presidential contest are reservations about Clinton’s truthfulness and ideology, even as Americans applaud her experience and leadership qualities."

Well, that's obviously me. Except that I haven't turned away from President Bush-I was never with him to begin with. And I continue to believe that were Hillary Clinton not the wife of Bill Clinton, she would not get nearly the traction as Hillary *Smith* that she gets now.
