All 16 Proposed Amendments Approved: Texans will get what they asked for

The minority speaks again for the majority!

There are 2 unfortunate major outcomes that have taken place regarding the voting for all proposed amendments in this election.

As I predicted, only 8.43 percent of all registered voters participated in the voting of the 16 proposed amendments.  That means that 91.57 percent of registered voters did NOT use their right to vote.

That is an outrage regarding our American representative democratic system and an affront to all of our veterans who fought, died and/or returned home disabled.  It is a "slap-in-the-face" of all our Armed Forces personnel currently serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere who are fighting to bring a similar representative democratic government to those Mid-East areas --- a region that will remain unstable for many more years.

The 2nd implication of last night's election apparently is that the majority of the 8.43 percent of registered voters want to pay ongoing, increasing and infinite taxes to local and state government.

Well, congratulations Texans.

You deserve to get what the majority of the minority voters approved, so no complaining during the next decade of ever-increasing taxation and frivolous expenditures by our government.

I believe only 5.5 percent of Hays County voted, so don't feel bad.
