About the site

About Glen Rose/Somervell County. Glen Rose has a great number of things to do or see - Big Rock Park, Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant, Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, Somervell County Expo Center, Dinosaur Valley State Park, The Promise, Squaw Creek Golf Course, Tres Rios, Oakdale Park, and nearby, one of my favorite places, Rough Creek Lodge. To me, Glen Rose is the start of Hill Country.

Looking for a paper newspaper? The official Glen Rose newspaper is the Glen Rose Reporter.

Iraqi Government to Revoke CPA Law That Gives Immunity to Blackwater et al

While the State Department under Rice is trying to just make Blackwater play nice, Iraqi Government IS Not Playing.

The Iraqi government has decided to formally revoke the immunity from prosecution granted to private security companies operating in the country.

The immunity granted to private contractors such as Blackwater has become controversial since a series of shootings involving foreign security guards.
The most infamous incident was on September 16 in which employees of Blackwater killed 17 Iraqis in Baghdad.

The Blackwater guards opened fire when they were escorting a US state department convoy through a Baghdad neighbourhood.
