Contraceptives are part of the Culture of Death? And I thought a Veterinarian Was Bad!

Remember when Bush appointed Lester Crawford, who was a PET VET, to be Director for the Office of Women's Health? (Can you imagine? Oh, right, when I go to get my yearly checkup, I always go to the vet!) And then the man abruptly resigned in 2005, right around the time of the Vioxx scandal? He also had indefinitely postponed over the counter sales of the morning after pill, but it was breaching FDA's conflict of interest rules that finally sunk him.

Fast forward to 2007. Who'd Bush put in NOW to be the Director of Family Planning Services at the Department of Health and Human Services. A woman who believes contraceptives are part of the culture of death. How STUPID are these people? And ladies, is there any one of you, besides maybe that crazy family that has sixteen kids who pop out each year like toaster pop tarts, that wants to be told that birth control makes you part of a CULTURE OF DEATH????????? Sheesh. Why don't we just roll back the world to pre-1920 when women couldn't even friggin VOTE in this country? Or, heck, the mid-1970's when a court FINALLY decided that a woman didn't have to get her husband's permission to use birth control-for those of you who were born AFTER the '70's, that wasn't that dang long ago! And what's up with putting a person in that doesn't even understand the basic principles of contraception?????

Oh, And this woman also doesn't want birth control to be covered by health insurance programs. Why? Because, after all, fertility is not a disease. Well, honey, neither is impotence, and I don't see the male Republicans fighting to quit covering Viagra!

No wonder more and more people are leaving the Republican party. Who wants to be connected with such weak imbeciles?
