Can I just say that that was a pretty poor excuse-Edwards said that if he had a choice, he'd always come down on the side of protecting people instead of the constitution. Edwards on whether English ought to be the official language of the United States. I really enjoyed this, he basically told the audience that they should get over it. The woman asking the question clearly won't vote for Edwards next time, because she accused him of pandering to Hispanic voters as a Democrat.
