Super Bowl in 2011- in FRISCO???????????

heh. I was reading an article in the Frisco paper about how some people were speaking up against the 121 toll road, (GOOD! because the Texas Legislature EXEMPTED that one from their *moratorium*) when I read that Frisco has put in a bid to have the Super Bowl there.

Mayor Mike Simpson presented a report on what Frisco has done to bring Super Bowl XLV to the Frisco area. He said a decision on what city it will go to will be made on May 22. All of the commissioners were in favor of drafting a resolution in support of the efforts to bring the Super Bowl to this area.

So, okay, I haven't been to Frisco in about 3 years and the last time I was there I was totally lost, the whole area had changed. I used to go to Frisco from the Colony through the back way, to Four Corners and then right through NOTHING till you passed the railroad tracks and a mill... to a bitty town. I know it's all different but how different do the people of Frisco want that town to be?

Under NFL requirements, a Super Bowl host city or region must have thousands of hotel rooms available, as well as hundreds of taxis, limousines and buses, and reservation agreements for every local venue capable of holding 1,000 or more people
