What the FOOL is WRONG with Bush? Besides Troop Escalation, 1 BILLION DOLLARS for IRaqi Jobs?

C'mon. If we have that much money that we can afford to spend, let's spend it HERE. No offense to Iraq and I'm sorry the Idiot In Chief invaded your country but there'a already been so much waste and fraud when the Republicans were in power, that even though Democrats are in charge now. I don't want the money going to you. We here in Texas are told that we don't have enough money to maintain our roads and therefore we have to let foreign companies take control of them and toll us. We are told that there isn't enough money for some health programs and we have to do cutbacks. We've been told by Dog N Pony Bush almost ever since he's been in office that the money we paid into social security is gone. So, demmit, if there really IS large chunks of money, I think the priority has to be those of us in the United States that are citizens instead of people in other countries.  Bush who said at one point that he was against nation-building, is a flip-flopper and a hypocrite. There are plenty of us that know that and want him to do something for US.

A crucial element of the plan would include more than doubling the State Department's reconstruction efforts throughout the country, an initiative intended by the administration to signal that the new strategy would emphasize rebuilding as much as fighting.

But previous U.S. reconstruction efforts in Iraq have failed to translate into support from the Iraqi population, and some Republicans as well as the new Democratic leadership in Congress have questioned whether a troop increase would do more than postpone the moment when Iraqi forces have to stand on their own.

Congress has the power to halt the increases by cutting off money for Bush's proposals. But some Democrats are torn about whether to press ahead with such a move for fear that it will appear that they are not supporting the troops.

When Bush gives his speech, he will cast much of the program as an effort to bolster Iraq's efforts to take command of its forces and territory, the U.S. officials said.

And let me just say, not spending money on nation-building is NOT stiffing the troops. So I don't care how Crazy Bush tries to protray this, not wanting to spend MORE of US taxdollars on building up another country has NOTHING to do with supporting the troops.
