America cannot claim to be a moral or great nation when this happens.
This is TRUMP's policy. This is not Democratic law, despite Trump's desperate efforts to try to frame this as a Democratic law. Shame on Trump to not take the responsibility for what HIS administration DECIDED to do as a matter of policy, not law.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said the U.S. will take a stricter stance on illegal crossings at the Mexico border by separating parents from children, rather than keeping them together in detention centers.
“If you are smuggling a child then we will prosecute you, and that child will be separated from you as required by law,” Sessions said Monday at a law enforcement event in Scottsdale, Ariz. “If you don’t like that, then don’t smuggle children over our border.”
“If you cross this border unlawfully, then we will prosecute you. It’s that simple,” Sessions added, describing the new policy as zero tolerance. “We are dealing with a massive influx of illegal aliens across our Southwest Border. But we’re not going to stand for this.”
WHOSE POLICY? Trump!!!!!
Another one of Trump's many, usually daily, lies.
6/5/1028-Trump continues to lie about this, Anyone with a brain can see it's false, he must think everyone who follows him is a gullible fool
Separating families at the Border is the fault of bad legislation passed by the Democrats. Border Security laws should be changed but the Dems can’t get their act together! Started the Wall.
No, it isn't. It's Trump's policy, NOT Democratic law. Trump could just reverse himself since it's his policy
Hugh Hewitt grills Jeff Sessions about this.
When pressed on the morality of separating immigrant children from their families, Sessions acknowledged the fragile nature of dealing with families. But he said it wasn't a "moral right" to keep them together and suggested it was a normal occurrence for prosecuted adults in America.
"It's always tough to separate children from their parents, but it happens, sadly, every day when people go to jail in America," Sessions said.
Hewitt continued to press Sessions, appealing to his nature as a grandfather.
"Can you imagine your grandchildren separated from your children for a period of 72 hours or even longer in a dormitory with up to, the deputy secretary told me, 1,000 other children and the impact on them of that?" Hewitt said.
