I"m as puzzled by Donald Trump touting Russia as John Oliver is.

Trump family trips cost taxpayers $11.3m in one month – almost as much as Obama’s cost in a year

Donald Trump’s family’s trips have cost taxpayers nearly as much in a month as Barack Obama’s cost in an entire year.

The US President’s three visits to his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida since his presidential inauguration, combined with his sons’ business trips, reportedly cost $11.3m (£9.1m).

Chris Wallace slams Preibus

"But you don't get to tell us what to do, Reince," Wallace shot back. "You don't get to tell us what to do any more than Barack Obama did."

He added that former President Obama "whined" about Fox News, but he never said the media was an enemy of the people.

"He never went as far as President Trump has, and that's what's concerning, because it seems like he crosses a line when he talks about, that we're an enemy of the people," Wallace said.

Only 9000 people showed up to Trump's rally in Melbourne, FL on Saturday

Looks like at least some of those people might have gone because of a Craigslist ad that promised stuff.

Orlando Sentinel

Nevertheless, there is at least one attempt at getting Central Florida Trump supporters out to the rally, with a bit of enticement.

An anonymous ad on Craiglist posted Wednesday states “Enthusiastic patriots [are] wanted” to attend.

“We are looking for people to show their excitement, enthusiasm, and what makes America GREAT this weekend,” the ad states.

The ad also prominently mentions merchandise tents at the rally, stating that rallygoers can “simply refer to this posting at any one of those merchandise stands and enjoy a complimentary gift or cash voucher as a gesture of appreciation for coming out to show your support.”

White House finally re-opens comment line.

Shortly after Donald Trump took office, the company Revolution Messaging noticed that the White House comment line (202-456-1111), which was previously open to the public, was closed; and it directed people to leave messages for the president via the White House website or Facebook page. Instead of accept that as the only way of contacting President Trump, Revolution Messaging created the website White House Inc., which connected callers with Trump’s businesses around the world, reasoning that because Trump hasn’t divested from those business, “he’s actually [created] satellite White Houses all over the world.”

But, after connecting more than 35,000 calls, according to a statement shared with Teen Vogue, White House Inc. may be able to take a break, because the White House comment line has been re-opened for business. Now, if you call the comments number on the White House website, you’ll first hear a few automated options (if you’re calling about tours, presidential greetings, or the White House mailing address) before being told to wait on the line if you’d like to leave a comment for the president. You’ll likely have to wait on hold for at least a few minutes (for us, it was about five) before being connected to a volunteer operator, but once you’re connected, you can share your thoughts and concerns about what’s happening in our country (perhaps on gun control, the president’s pricey vacations, or national security issues) and ask that it be passed along to President Trump.

Trump supporter invited on stage salutes cardboard cutout of president every day

The man who President Trump brought up on stage during his Saturday rally said he salutes a cardboard cutout of the president every day.

"Mr. President, I've been with you for two years ... every single second, every day, I'm with you," Gene Huber said during an interview on CNN.

"I've got a 6-foot cardboard box of President Trump in my house and I salute that every single day."

Trump forced meatloaf on Chris Christie

‘‘This is what it’s like to be with Trump,’’ Christie said. ‘‘He says, ‘There’s the menu, you guys order whatever you want.’ And then he says, ‘Chris, you and I are going to have the meatloaf.’’’
