Crawford, Texas Locals Angry about Sheehan Moving There-WHICH LOCALS?

If the Associated Press intended to write a balanced article (Okay. I'm assuming) the way to do it would have been to avoid blanket statements like this, in an article entitled "Some Crawford Residents Visit War Protest Campsite"

Locals have been angry since peace activist Cindy Sheehan purchased 5 acres of Crawford-area land last month to serve as a base for war protests.

AP quoted, besides Sheehan, only two people in the article. One was an anti-war protester, not from Crawford, but Terlingua, which on my map is down by Big Bend National Park. Can hardly call him a "local" - who was quoted as representing the "Locals"? Valerie Duty.

"You can have a dialogue, but you'll never agree," said Valerie Duty, a staunch Bush supporter wearing a "This is Bush country, by George!" T-shirt. "Both sides do agree about bringing the troops home safely. The difference is the way we go about that."

First off, she was wearing one of the t-shirts she sells at her store - probably her modelling it in that pic- and she is a staunch pro-Bush Republican

I have volunteered for the McLennan County Republican Party along with helping several Republican candidates (beginning with George Bush Sr. when he ran against Reagan in their bid for the presidency.) I currently am a Republican Party of McLennan County Executive Committee member, Public Relations Chairman, Precinct Chair and Texas Federation of Republican Women SD 22 District Director. I speak across the state on issues related to the war on terror and Republican activism.

I led a Pro-Bush rally at the Crawford showing of Michael Moore's film against President Bush.
She's also a photographer who has taken negative photos of Sheehan, so it's not surprising she would visit Camp Sheehan during an open barbecue invitation.
My point isn't what this woman says or does, but that the AP used ONE interview with ONE local person who happens to be someone with her own axe to grind, and is, by her own definition, a staunch supporter, affiliated with the Republican Party,.of Bush, who profits from selling merchandise from that angle, and who was there undoubtedly to take photographs for her own ends. The counterpart is a guy who is from South Texas, is a protester, and doesn't even live in Crawford.
