Some of the 2014 Events I Was Paying Attention To

As I get ready over the next couple of days for New Years Even and then the Lucky Feast on New Years Day, time to go over some of the events that happened this last year that were so great!

Found out that, despite me believing that women were treated seriously at this point of time, sadly, that's not the case. Requires more fighting back! Here's one instance, abortion rights. Although I'm not at any point where this personally affects me, I think men need to quit telling women what to do with their own bodies, and quit making choices FOR them about their lives. I believe that a lot of women, because the rights so hard fought for are in effect, are not paying as much attention to their erosion, and won't until rights are stripped away. DON'T VOTE REPUBLICAN.

Abortion rights -Will the supreme court rule on abortion?

Obamacare- Affordable Care Act

The real question I have is whether states that are run by Republican governors that are SO happy to have their hands out for federal money will actually expand Medicaid. Looking at YOU, Rick *Ooops* Perry.

I am not pleased that Republicans have control of both the House and the Senate, mostly looks like full of nuts, but I AM happy that President Obama's approval rating is up again, AS IT SHOULD BE.

Diversity with religion-Top stories in 2014

Nobody has to say the pledge of allegiance. Students can sit down and do not have to participate, like this student from California.

School officials have since apologized to the student for the teacher's actions.

"It was a mistake," Anthony Knight, superintendent of the Oak Park Unified School District, said Tuesday.

Students, he said, have the right and will be allowed to remain seated during the pledge.
