Corrupt Government
re: pensions for Texas ex-lawmakers???

pstern

08:52 on 6 February 2013
The public is not permitted to view the pension packages and amounts of ex-lawmakers . It's always “open government” on THEIR terms.

Why the heck are [part time] legislators, who meet only several weeks every 2 years, getting a retirement package at all?   That's been one of my questions for years and no one has answered.

And why let Rick Perry get a salary and his retirement package at the same time for being a part time governor?

Some things are just plain idiotic! It’s time for some big changes in our state government.

How right you are PSstern--lots of tax money is being wasted.  And, in additon to the state waste, the same kind of BS is taking place in Booger County--more wasted tax money on pensions, etc for part-time crooked politicians.  Furthermore, the whole 3rd branch of our gubment (the so-called justice system) is a big waste of tax money--it's no help to the peasants--only helps the big dogs and corporate interests.  That thing need to undergo a 50% budget cut at all levels---AND in 6 months it should undergo another 50% budget cut at all levels.  Then we can see if it becomes worth a Sh** for the peasants.
