Rick Perry Pathetic Loser- GOP Debate 10/11/2011

I watched the first half over streaming video, since we don't have Cable/Sat. My impressions of Rick Perry.

Sombody told Rick Perry to Smile! Well, his smile looked like a forced fiend from hell smile. I thought his jaw was probably really tired after all that smiling.

When he gave his first response to something, he rambled on and on in a disjointed way.

He kept making weird faces during the *debate*. One I saw was him sticking his tongue in his cheek and roling it around after Jon Huntsman told some joke. I don't know if Perry was having problems, maybe his jaw was hurting really bad by then, or he was trying to make a point, but it looked weird.

And Rick Perry, after the debate, referenced the American Revolution as happening in the 16th century. Haha. Audio of that.

“Our Founding Fathers never meant for Washington, D.C. to be the fount of all wisdom. As a matter of fact they were very much afraid if that because they’d just had this experience with this far-away government that had centralized thought process and planning and what have you, and then it was actually the reason that we fought the revolution in the 16th century was to get away from that kind of onerous crown if you will,” Perry said.

hahah

One more thing. Rick Perry is FINE with crony capitalism and picking winners and losers as long as it's at the states level.

MS. TUMULTY: Right. Governor Perry, taxpayers stand to lose half a billion dollars in the collapse of Solyndra, which is a solar energy firm that was a centerpiece of the Obama green jobs initiative. Do you think there were inadequate safeguards there, or do you think this is just the risk we run when the government gets involved in subsidizing new industries and technologies?

GOV. PERRY: Well, I don’t think the federal government should be involved in that type of investment, period. If states want to choose to do that, I think that’s fine for states to do that.

Yeah, because that's what he's doing with Texas taxpayer money with his Texas Enterprise Fund. Countrywide/Bank of America, anyone?
