The Judge was extremely fair to all parties in this hearing in my opinion. If you are a resident of Erath or Somervell Counties or you have ever enjoyed the park at the top of the Mountain or just the drive over the Mountain or you value the hills in this region; you should contact the Chalk Mountain Foundation to see how you can make a difference. The integrity of the area depends on public participation in this process. While you are not a "party" in the judicial process, you can be of great help by contacting the Foundation if you are oppossed to the destruction of the mountain.

I thought he was too, particularly when it came to the distance in which one was affected. You saw that Tommy Davis wanted it to be exactly 1 mile, but the judge talked about discretion to have it be more than 1 mile.

Great suggestion to contact Chalk Mountain Foundation. Overall, there are so many nice hills in this area. I don't want to see all the topography flattened, not to mention all the piles of dust and ugliness. It's such a pleasure when driving to Stephenville to go through Chalk Mountain and enjoy the view.
