Ruminations of the Easily Amused for July 2 2010

So much for being worried about how hot and dry it is. I'ts STILL raining today, I'm glad, and I may go get some sparklers for Sunday.  I think I have another rat snake hanging around, some of the chicks disappeared last night from the chicken house-no way a raccoon would fit in there, but the rain had caused a bow in some siding that would have been very pleasant and easy for a hungry rat snake. In between rain bursts, I'm doing some patch up with the screwdriver.  It's too late in the season to get more chicks, except some more Americaunas, which lay the green and blue eggs-debating because the little ones do take so much work and it will be a HOT summer. Got my shade cloth today so am going to start working on shade squares for the porch. I'll probably take photos step by step and post one of just that.

Those clip on mosquito repellent don't really work. I was in the store last week and saw these, glad I saved my money.
