Thank you, Judy N!  Incidentally, I have heard that the county employees are finally getting training on how to upload to the Somervell County website, although right now they are practicing on a demo site. It will really be terrific when the agendas, meeting notices, audio and minutes are put online right away, and I also hope to see all the packets from meetings, including check registers, posted as well. Give them cookies and they will want milk-I'd also love to see the information get an RSS feed.

Commissioners’ Court of Somervell County met in a special meeting at 9:30 a.m. on the above date with all Commissioners present. County Judge Walter Maynard presided.

CITIZENS COMMENTS:   None.

DISCUSSION ON AGENDA ITEMS

  1. and 7. The Court recessed into Executive Session at 10:20 a.m. and reconvened into open session at 11:18 a.m. No motion.

MOTIONS ON AGENDA ITEMS

ITEM NO.

  1. Motion was made by Commissioner Cummings and seconded by Commissioner Wirt to approve Change Order #10 on the Hospital project for $11,600, and authorize the Judge to sign.  Motion carried. All voting aye.
  2. Motion was made by Commissioner Barnard and seconded by Commissioner Cummings to award a three-year electricity contract to First Choice Power at $0.0641, as the best proposal for Somervell County’s situation, and authorize the Judge to sign.  Motion carried. All voting aye.
  3. Motion was made by Commissioner Barnard and seconded by Commissioner Ford to table the water line easement for Cheyenne Hills Estates, until a survey and plat are received.  Motion carried. All voting aye.
  4. Motion was made by Commissioner Barnard and seconded by Commissioner Ford to table accepting an antique locomotive bell from Brenda Ransom for Heritage Park.  Motion carried. All voting aye.
  5. Motion was made by Commissioner Ford and seconded by Commissioner Cummings to move $1,000 from Cap Imp Eq/Furn #450-570 to EMS Eq/Furn #436-570. Motion carried. All voting aye.

There being no further business, motion was made by Commissioner Ford and seconded by Commissioner Cummings to adjourn at 11:19 a.m. Motion carried.  All voting aye.
