Glen Rose Antique Tractor & Machinery Club Spring Tractor Ride

30 March 2010 at 11:24:19 AM

Saturday, April 24, 2010 Pre-ride meeting @ 9:00 AM
Depart Downtown Square at  9:45 AM

The ride is approx. 31 miles in length, round trip. The ride will begin from Downtown Glen Rose Square @ 9:45 AM & go South down Barnard St. to CR 205 to Dinosaur Valley Park (4.4 miles) and onto CR 1008, (low water crossings-hope your tractor can swim) then (7.2 miles) to Hwy 51.  Go South on Hwy 51 (1.0 mile) to the Paluxy Baptist Church outdoor pavillion for lunch.

Lunch will be served at 11:30 AM.  We will spend about an hour eating, socializing, picture taking, & telling stories about our “Tired Iron”.

12:30 PM back onto the road for the 18.6 mile trip back to the Glen Rose Square, with 2 intermediate stops along the way. We should be back on the Square by 3:30 – 4:00 PM.

If you don’t have a tractor to drive and still want to enjoy the ride, some of the members will be towing trailers and you will be welcome to bring a comfortable lawn chair and enjoy the fun riding in the trailer and the scenery will be great!

There will be a $10.00 “ride fee” to cover the catered lunch.

Remember April weather can be unpredictable, so bring the appropriate clothing for any changing weather conditions.
