Quick Housekeeping Note for Somervell County Salon-March 12 2010

Quick Housekeeping Note for Somervell County Salon-March 12 2010

12 March 2010 at 11:05:46 AM

Have had this as a request for awhile from several people, and finally got around this morning to adding this. Some days we all post a lot and some days not so much but, even with 7 slots for stories on the main page, it's pretty easy for noteworthy posts to get farther down the page or on the next page within a short period of time. One thing I did a while back was add a Last Post By at the bottom of the page so that if you were looking for a particular author, you could find his or her last post, even if it's no longer on the front page.

Today I did that one better. If you click on the name of the poster, it will take you to a page that has the last 500 posts of that author (both on the story entries as well as the Last Post by on the bottom). Have also added, if the poster has put in a photo, a small photo by his her name. That photo can be whatever the author wants it to be (as long as it's not vulgar).

Anyway, I think all readers will like this.

P.S. I also plan to change up the commenting system at some point in the near future to allow for Replies To.

P.P.S. I added the Flick slideshow widget again to the sidebar on the right, with all photos showing from the most recent date they were uploaded to Flickr. So, on other words, the most recent pics are from the St Patricks Day Fest at Glen Rose, currently.
