Yes. I know this is a new posting for a meeting that has already passed, but I'm in process of updating some previous agendas with minutes and notice that I didn't have the November 2 meeting.. at all.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

 

PURSUANT TO THE TEXAS OPEN MEETINGS ACT, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COMMISSIONERS’ COURT OF SOMERVELL COUNTY, TEXAS WILL BE HELD MONDAY, THE 2ND DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2009, AT 9:30 A.M., IN THE COMMISSIONERS’ COURTROOM IN THE SOMERVELL COUNTY COURTHOUSE ANNEX, 107 N.E. VERNON, IN GLEN ROSE, TEXAS AT WHICH MEETING THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS WILL BE DISCUSSED AND THE FOLLOWING MATTERS ACTED UPON:

 

1.      Finalize Oaths of Office of Somervell County Hospital Authority Board of Directors. Administration of oath of office as necessary.

2.      Discuss/take action on Interlocal Agreement between Ellis, Hill, Johnson and Somervell Counties and the Prairielands Groundwater Conservation District.

3.      Discuss/take action on Adoption Agreement of the Interlocal Agreement between Gray and Lipscomb Counties for CERTAIN INSURANCE COVERAGES AND RESINSURANCE OF SUCH COVERAGE.

4.      Discuss/take action on changing the DPS Office Clerk position to Constable Office Clerk with DPS duties.

5.      Discuss/take action on Creation of Somervell County Local Data Advisory Board.

6.      Discuss/take action on Change Order #7 Glen Rose Medical Center Project.

7.      Discuss/take action Certificate of Substantial Completion – Phase One – Glen Rose Medical Center Project.

8.      Discuss/take action for Additional Services by Perkins+Will on Glen Rose Medical Center Project.

9.      Discuss/take action on EECBG Notification of Intent Form.

at 9:30 A.M., Monday, November 2, 2009.

Commissioners’ Court of Somervell County met in a special meeting at 9:30 a.m. on the above date with all Commissioners present. County Judge Walter Maynard presided.

DISCUSSION ON AGENDA ITEMS

 

ITEM NO.

 

1.     Judge Maynard administered the oath of office to five of the seven members of the Hospital Authority Board of Directors: Bob Lancaster, Ernie Reinke, Sharon Boone, Deborah Gray and Angie Robertson.  Directors Gary Whittle and Larry Shaw will be sworn in at a later date.  No motion.

 

MOTIONS ON AGENDA ITEMS

 

ITEM NO.

 

2.     Motion was made by Commissioner Wirt and seconded by Commissioner Barnard to approve the Interlocal Agreement between Ellis, Hill, Johnson and Somervell Counties and the Prairielands Groundwater Conservation District.  Motion carried. All voting aye.  

3.     Motion was made by Commissioner Cummings and seconded by Commissioner Wirt to table the Adoption Agreement of the Interlocal Agreement between Gray and Lipscomb Counties for certain insurance coverages and reinsurance of such coverage. Motion carried. All voting aye.

4.     Motion was made by Commissioner Ford and seconded by Commissioner Wirt to approve changing the DPS Office Clerk position to Constable Office Clerk with DPS duties & game warden duties, effective November 1, 2009. Motion carried. All voting aye.

5.     Motion was made by Commissioner Cummings and seconded by Commissioner Barnard to approve creation of the Somervell County Local Data Advisory Board, to include Jo Spurger, Sheriff’s Office; Paul Haber, District Attorney’s Office; Ron Hankins, County Attorney; Clarece Busby, District Clerk’s Office; Phyllis Wells, County Clerk’s Office; Buck Martin, Glen Rose Police Chief; and Mark Woolverton, MIS Department.  Motion carried. All voting aye.

6.     Motion was made by Commissioner Wirt and seconded by Commissioner Ford to approve Change Order #7 Glen Rose Medical Center Project, $33,369.10. Motion carried. All voting aye.

7.     Motion was made by Commissioner Ford and seconded by Commissioner Cummings to approve the Certificate of Substantial Completion, Phase One, Glen Rose Medical Project, and authorize the Judge to sign. Motion carried.  All voting aye.

8.     Motion was made by Commissioner Ford and seconded by Commissioner Wirt to approve additional services by Perkins+Will on Glen Rose Medical Center Project.  Motion carried. All voting aye.

9.     Motion was made by Commissioner Ford and seconded by Commissioner Cummings to approve EECBG (Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant) Notification of Intent Form, designate Commissioner Ford as contact person, and authorize the Judge to sign. Motion carried. All voting aye.

 

 


 

 

There being no further business, motion was made by Commissioner Barnard and seconded by Commissioner Ford to adjourn at 10:18 a.m.  Motion carried.  All voting aye.
