This tragedy “will have a long-lasting effect,” state Representative Sid Miller, Republican of Stephenville, told reporters two days after the incident. “This community is still reeling from the 1991 Luby’s shooting.”
I also remember that mass killing in Killeen at the Luby's back in 1991. Pretty horrendous. From the Houston Chronicle
Under the Thursday, Oct. 17, headline "Bloodbath in Killeen," a story by Chronicle reporter Cindy Rugeley summarized what witnesses had seen: "He calmly and methodically strolled through the cafeteria, randomly shooting innocent people as they crouched under tables. Often he would stick the gun at a victim's head or body and fire."
I mention this because it would be a shame to have one guy who's a Muslim represent ALL Muslims, as if all muslims in the world are terrorists. They're not, any more than the white guy who shot all those people at Luby's makes every white male a terrorist.
